STARLINK and
NETWORKING

At Galaxy Aerials, one of the areas of work we have been asked to help, advise on and install more of over the last few years is home networking. The Starlink system in particular has been of big interest, more information on this system can be found below.

What Is Starlink

Starlink_Logo.svg.png

Engineered by SpaceEx, Starlink is a low latency, broadband internet system designed to meet the needs of consumers across the globe, with high speeds and latency as low as 20ms in most locations, Starlink enables video calls, online gaming, streaming, and other high data rate activities that historically have not been possible with satellite internet.

Starlink requires a clear view of the sky to connect, (so it can stay connected with satellites as they move overhead. Objects that obstruct the connection between your Starlink and the satellite, such as a tree branch, pole, or roof, will cause service interruptions) and so is ideally suited for areas where connectivity has been unreliable or completely unavailable such as rural and remote locations.

At Galaxy Aerials we can advise and select the best place to install your Starlink so you can get the best results from your system.

Networking For Your Home

So, what is Networking? Put simply, 'the linking of computers to allow them to operate interactively'

By installing a home computer networking system, you can have connected devices, ranging from PCs and smartphones to doorbells and thermostats, that communicate with one another.

We can help you with anything from linking your Alexa devices to your smartphone to installing a complete system including Ubiquiti or Starlink.
